 Rev. Richard Wright

The Wright family can trace it's roots back to John Wright of Kelvedon Hall, Kelvedon, Essex County, England.
Rev. Richard Wright, a fellow of Eton College, and the Rector of Everdon, North Hampton, England, 1613-1638. In his will dated April 1,1633, Rev. Richard left a house and land in Wargrave (near the Thames River, 45 miles south of Everdon, Berks County) to his wife Frances for life and after her death, to his son Richard, "if he be in England". His other children were Frances, Theodore, John, Samuel, Nathaniel and Anthony. Rev. Richard Wright was buried in Everdon on June 16,1638.

Everdon, in North Hampton County is twenty miles from  Warwick County and near Lemington Priors, the place Richrd Wright of Rehoboth visited on his return trip to Englan d in 1646/47. It is also near the town where his friend Thomas Bliss of Rehoboth was born.

 Rowland Barnes

Barnes, armorially identified as a form Bernieres, from Bernieres near Falaise. Hugh de Bernieres had estates in Essex and Middlesex, 1086 (Domesday Book) In 1165 Ralph de Bernieres held six knight's fees, and Richard de Bernieres had seven. The Barons Berners descended from this family.

Rowland Barnes was born in Bishop Middleham, Durham, England in the year 1564.   His first wife's name is not known. She was the mother of five children, William, John, Martin, Elizaberth and Thomas. She died before 1610, when he married Alice Cooper on October 21, 1610. He and Alice had another  daughter, Ellen.Rowland died in July 1634, and was buried on July 11, 1634 in the Parish of Hingham, Norfolk, England.

Wife of William Ward who emigrated to New England in 1639

Elizabeth Phillipus was born about 1600 in the parish of St. James Church, London, Middlesex, England. She was the daughter of Richard Phillipus. She married Deacon William Ward on March 4, 1624 in St. James, Clerkenwell, London, England. Elizabeth was the mother of William, John, Joanna and Obadiah. Elizabeth died giving birth to Obadiah in England on May 11, 1632 in London, England. Her husband and children emigrated to New England in 1639.
